Digital Innovation
Interested in working on real projects with clients in innovation? Student are being accepted through Friday, May 9 for xLab's fall projects. Through this independent study course (BTEC 400 or CSDS 601 — xLab Digital Innovation Project), you’ll work with real world clients on real digital innovation projects and build experience while you earn course credit! Learn more at the on Wednesday, April 23 from 4:30 - 5:30 pm in PBL 220.
Regenerative Medicine and Entrepreneurship
The RGME is the first two-year master's level program in Ohio focused on Regenerative Medicine and Entrepreneurship. Students enrolled in the RGME program will have access to cutting-edge clinical and research facilities along with small biotechnology companies within the network of the National Center for Regenerative Medicine (NCRM). RGME classes are now available to undergraduate students as well as offered at the graduate level!
Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition
New courses are now being offered at the Weatherhead School of Management in entrepreneurship through acquisition. Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition I introduces frameworks and real‐world solutions to pursue the acquisition and leadership of a company using various ETA strategies with focus on "self funded searches.” The class will walk through the lifecycle of a typical path to finding and running a business, including information on raising capital, searching for a company, buying a business, leading that business and then ultimately selling it. The course is taught by current ETA entrepreneurs and investors.
Patent Law
Interested in law as an undergraduate or graduate student not enrolled in the School of Law? A new course is now available for students of all disciplines, including the humanities, in Patent Law. The course will endeavor to introduce the student to the law and policy of the United States patent system, beginning with a discussion of the origins and theoretical underpinnings of the patent system, and followed by a look at the composition of an issued patent and the procedural mechanism for obtaining patent rights. Students will examine the substantive requirements of patentability, including those related to disclosure, novelty, nonobviousness, utility, and eligible subject matter.
Entrepreneurship Minor or Concentration
In addition to taking a course or two, as an undergraduate you can declare an Innovation & Entrepreneurship Concentration or ! With these options, you can develop stronger skills and knowledge in solving meaningful problems, discovering potential customers, pursuing venture capital, giving presentations, and more.
