The Bioanalyte Core is an interactive core that provides quantitative support for investigators on experimental design, and analysis of biomarkers associated with cell culture, in vivo models and clinical trials. The core provides support for purchasing reagents at a discount thanks to our high volume and extensive attention to detail with experimental design optimization, analysis and validation of data. The core is passionate about promoting the best possible outcome for the studies and analyses.

The Bioanalyte Core uses a variety of technologies both singular and multiplexing to facilitate the quantitative and qualitative analysis of bioanalytes. These biological mediators can include cytokines, proteases, lipid metabolites and more. Clinical end-points can also be measured as part of pre-clinical testing. Although the core focused on quantitative analysis, the overall services include gene expression, transcriptional activation, secreted biological mediators and functional assays. The core can also develop assays that are not currently commercially available, and run clinical samples through certification by the American Board of Medical Laboratory Immunology to fulfill CLIA-based applications. The Bioanalyte Core is interactive and works with investigators to assure the highest potential for their assay's success. Our services have been used for more than 20 years at an institutional, local and national level.

The core’s equipment and services include:

  • Bioanalyte singular and multiplexing technology
  • Gene arrays
  • Flow cytometry
  • Cell based functional assays
  • Transcriptional arrays

Rates

Multiplexing service is $1200.00/ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø based assay services;   $1500.00/external based assay services; developmental programs by design, gene expression by design.  Flow cytometry is $100/hour for ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø-based assay services;  $150/hour for external based assay services.

Besides the flow cytometry and basic luminescence assays/ELISA, all equipment is only used by CORE personnel. Rates for the flow cytometry are based upon campus-wide CTSC rates; the plate reader is moving to a rate in 2025. Users will be charged by usage to be determined.
