The School of Dental Medicine is delighted to pair interested D2 students with an alumni mentor every fall. These students are searching for advice on various topics—including dental techniques, choosing a specialty, running a practice and managing student loan debt.
It is our hope the mentor-mentee relationship will result in sustained guidance and support through the rest of the student's time in the dental school. Both mentors and mentees are asked at the end of every academic year if they wish to continue the program.
If you are interested in mentoring a student, please complete the In the fall, the school administration will use the survey data to match you with a student and will arrange an email introduction to start the process. Mentors are asked to arrange a phone call or Zoom with their mentee within 30 days of the introduction. The initial call is used to introduce yourself, learn about the student’s successes and challenges, discuss how you can assist and set up the next meeting date.
