Long-running ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø summer program introduces Cleveland youth to college

On the campus of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø (ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø), Dennis Harris, camp director of the school’s National Youth Sports Program, labors for an entire year to put together a five-week summer program aimed at giving kids a summer camp experience on a college campus.

Fox 8’s Kenny Crumpton puts the spotlight on a wonderful program still going strong in Cleveland that combines fitness, fun and learning. The National Youth Sports Program Camp has called ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø ‘home base’ for 54 years.

The National Youth Sports Program, which once was a coalition of about 200 universities, was originally founded in 1968 to provide economically disadvantaged youth with access to sports and educational programs.
