In a virtual ceremony attended by family and friends on May 19, fourteen exceptional ���ϳԹ��� law students were honored with Case Global Service Awards for their extraordinary contributions to the School of Law’s top-ranked International Law Program.

Cleveland is home to some of the largest and most prestigious law firms in the country and ���ϳԹ���, with the top Bar Pass rate in the State and 20th best in the nation, has a history of extraordinary success in placing its grads in major law firms in Cleveland, as well as other big cities across the country. 

Third-year law students Naomi Gahyun Kim and Rachel Lamparelli had outstanding experiences in their capstone externships. At the U.S. Center for Disease Control (CDC) Public Health Law Program, Kim focused on state vaccination laws and researched the constitutional and civil rights implications of potential vaccine mandates.

On May 13, ���ϳԹ��� School of Law held its annual “Celebration of Faculty”  in-person under the tent on East Bell Commons. In a year of challenges like none other, Co-Dean Jessica Berg said the purpose of the annual celebration was “to recognize faculty members who made extraordinary contributions over the past year.”

On Sunday, May 16, ���ϳԹ��� School of Law will celebrate the Class of 2021 during an in-person commencement ceremony at Freiberger Field.

Grace Saalman, a third-year law student at ���ϳԹ���, was recognized by The National Jurist for her pro bono work as a student.

At ���ϳԹ���, students have an opportunity to publish articles in three Law Journals: ���ϳԹ��� Law Review, ���ϳԹ��� Journal of International Law and Health Matrix.

Students in ���ϳԹ���’s Appellate Litigation Clinic capped off their semester with two major filings: a 60-page brief to the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in a habeas case and a petition asking the Supreme Court of Ohio to hear a case involving Ohio’s menacing-by-stalking statute.

���ϳԹ��� Law Black 3L Students marked their impending graduation with their first ever Sankofa Celebration.

For nearly a decade, Professor Aleksandar Cuic and his students in the ���ϳԹ��� (���ϳԹ���) Immigration Law Clinic have been on the frontlines of the battle for human rights in America’s immigration courts. On April 20, they scored a major victory.

Professors Matthew E. Kahn of Johns Hopkins University and Robin K. Craig of the University of Utah discussed adaptation to climate change from both a legal and economic perspective in a webinar on April 28, 2021, sponsored by the Coleman Burke Center for Environmental Law.
